Nail design styles we do most

French tips never left: classic white on almond, a thin chrome outline, or coloured and polka-dot tips for something playful. Chrome is a powder buffed over cured gel for a mirror finish, in silver, gold or over colour; cat-eye is a magnetic gel that catches light in a moving band. Hand-painted art runs from daisies and stars to full holiday characters, priced per finger.

Almost everything here sits on Gel-X, acrylic or hard gel extensions in almond, square or stiletto, but French, chrome and small art work just as well on natural nails with a gel manicure.

Getting a design

How do I get one of these designs?

Save the photo, or a design from anywhere, and show your technician when you sit down. We match the shape, length and colours, and tell you up front what it adds to the price.

How much does nail art cost?

On top of a new set ($85) or fill ($75), chrome is $10, French tips $10, ombre $15 and hand-painted art from $10 per finger. An accent nail or two is the cheapest way to try a design. See Nail Extensions & Add-Ons.

Can I get these designs on natural nails?

Yes. French tips, chrome, cat-eye and small art all work over gel polish on your own nails with a gel manicure. Long almond and stiletto shapes need extensions.

How long does chrome or cat-eye last?

As long as the gel underneath: two to three weeks on natural nails, three to four on extensions before a fill. Chrome is sealed under top coat, so it will not rub off.
