Gel-X nails in Nanaimo

Gel-X is a soft-gel extension cured over a full-coverage tip: light, flexible and gentle on the natural nail, with no drilling and no odour. It soaks off cleanly, which makes it a favourite for guests who like to change length and shape every few weeks.

Acrylic nails

Acrylic is the classic, strongest extension for long lengths, stiletto and coffin shapes and heavy nail art. Sets are sculpted by hand and refreshed with a fill every two to three weeks.

Hard gel and Luminary

Hard gel gives a glossy, durable overlay or extension for guests who want strength without acrylic. Luminary is a flexible builder gel that strengthens natural nails and works as a base under gel polish or as a short, natural-looking extension.

Good to know: regular fills keep a set strong and looking fresh. Removing an old set is listed under Polish & Removal and can be booked together with your new set.

Good to know

How much are Gel-X nails in Nanaimo?

A new Gel-X set at JC Beauty Spa is $85 and a fill is $75, the same as our acrylic, hard gel and Luminary sets. Extra length, chrome, ombre, French tips and nail art are priced on top.

Gel-X or acrylic: which should I choose?

Gel-X is lighter, odour-free and soaks off easily, so it suits natural-nail lovers and medium lengths. Acrylic is the strongest option for long lengths and dramatic shapes. Tell us how you use your hands and we will recommend one.

How long does a set last?

Two to three weeks between fills for most guests. Fills keep the set strong and fresh; we fix chips, lifts or lost stones within 5 days free of charge.

Can you copy a design from a photo?

Yes. Bring the photo in or send it when you book and we will match the shape, colour and art.
